Age: 6-10 years Tasting Notes: The nose is plump and sweet-froward with vanilla custard, raspberry jam, orange zest, nougat, maple syrup, fig, raisin, and soft tobacco, unsweetened chocolate, and barrel char. The palate is a harmonious dance of sweet and savory: waffle cone, French vanilla, charred apples, peaches, and cherry, with rich cola-like sugars, a touch of herbal, but otherwise sweet forward maple sugars, allspice, and black pepper. Basically, boozy Dr. Pepper. The enjoyment of the palate continues into the finish, creamy and chewy, with sweet oak, leather, spiced brown sugar, and plenty of vanilla.
